Antonio Sanchez, with Pat Metheny and Christian McBride in Lugano... Great taste. Outstanding technique and chops. Enormous musicality... And yet so humble. I'd certainly like to have a tequila with Antonio... Enjoy...

Yours, Serafeim

Ps. Here's another video of Antonio, from his great educational DVD called "Master Series".

Ps1. If you're a drummer and haven't still subscribed to the Hudson Music channel in Youtube, you certainly have a serious problem... Do it...Do it now...

That's what I call a drum solo No.4

When I grow up I want to be James Gadson... Some kids want to grow up and become Michael Jordan. I want to grow up and become James Gadson. Period. He doesn't even need a solo to show you his mad skills. Read his story. One of the most recorded drummers in the history of music and you probably don't even know it. But, you have listened to this cat, whether you are a musician or a CEO. Enjoy...

Yours, Serafeim

Ps1. James Gadson makes you wanna slow down things a little bit. In music and in life...

That's what I call a drum solo No.2

Glenn Kotche is the drummer for the American band Wilco. He is also a solo artist and composer. Monkey chants originate from Bali. Enjoy...

Ps. This solo is a soundtrack he made for a fairy tale.

That's what I call a drum solo No.1

Joey Baron is a grand master of the drumset. He has played with Bill Frisell, Steve Kuhn, Stan Getz, John Zorn, David Bowie, John Scofield, Michael Jackson, Jim Hall, Dizzy Gillespie, John Abercrombie and Tim Berne, just to name a few.

Here is one of his killer-solos. Huge and generous sound, seamless flow, groove, melody, dynamics, great development of ideas, great tuning, outstanding technique put in practice only in order to translate the ideas coming from the heart and the brain. Enjoy.

Yours, Serafeim

Ps. Here's some advice from the grand master himself.
